Students in fifth grade at West Broad Street recently learned about the negative consequences humans can have on our environment. The class, Human Impact and Sustainable Solutions, was made possible by a grant from the Souderton Area Education Foundation. The grant, written by Christine Wuelfing, fourth grade teacher at WBS, will fund field trips and classes this year through the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy for fourth and fifth grade students at West Broad Street Elementary. Students will not only learn about watersheds, but will visit one as well. A strong emphasis will be placed on what we can do to keep our watershed safe and clean.
