Chess Club

Eric Stover, music teacher at West Broad Street Elementary, meets with fourth and fifth grade students at an after school Chess Club. Students are taught the rules of the game and pair up to test their skills. Students have developed a love for the game and higher-level thinking skills at the same time. A grant from the Souderton Area Education Foundation was used to purchase the game pieces, mats, learning kits, and books. Darren Smith and Dan Stover also assist with the club.
